Kelsie started taking off walking just before her 1st birthday
Throws a ball overhanded, and she yells every time she throws it. My sister says this means that Kelsie is going to be a pitcher like she was.
She says, "mama", "dada" and "up" (which sounds more like "ups") with meaning and also seems to say "whats that". She babbles all the time and will sometimes repeat what we say. She definitely said "Hey Bubba" to my sister the other day because we kept telling her to.Today (12 1/2months) she said "wow" several times when playing with her toys (she hears me say this a lot) and "owww" after I hurt myself and yelled out "oww".
She is very social and LOVES to be around people! Especially other children.
She is very affectionate and gives such sweet hugs and kisses.
She is super observant and gets intrigued by the slightest sound.
She is an excellent problem solver. I love to watch her figure things out.
She loves to put things in and out of her toybox, diaper bag, back pack, laundry basket - any container really. And she amazes me with her strength. She can lift some heavy toys out of her toybox with just one hand!
She loves her books. She pulls them off the shelf every morning and likes to flip through them looking at the pictures. When we read books to her, she likes to turn the pages. Today she handed me one and I swear it sound exactly like "read the book".
She has 4 teeth. Weighs 22 1/2 lbs and is 2 1/2 feet tall!
She is already throwing tantrums. When she is into something and you take her away from it (or it away from her), she arches that back and throws her self backwards.
Waves bye bye and hello. We ate outside at Chick-fil-A the other day and were sitting next to the drive through, she waved at the people as they were sitting in there cars next to us. The people were amused.
She also waves bye-bye when I take her away from something she's not supposed to be into or close a door (like the fridge, the pantry)
She loves to be chased around the house, she will take off laughing waiting for us to catch her.
Favorite foods : squash/zucchini, broccoli, pickles
Off the bottle, drinking milk from a cup but still nursing some too. The more calories the better!
Favorite books : Dr Seuss, Oh Baby, Go Baby - even though she has torn it to pieces. And Wet Pet, Dry Pet.
Favorite character : Doesn't have one yet, not doing too much TV - much more fun to PLAY and learn from mommy!
